Mohamed Nassereldine met Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Georgy Borisenko in Moscow to discuss strengthening Lebanese–Russian relations, expanding economic cooperation and Russia’s support for Lebanon in regional and international affairs.

Nassereldine Visits Economy Minister to Discuss Strengthening Lebanese-Russian Economic Cooperation 23 July 2026, 12:46 East News Mohamed Nassereldine, President of the Lebanese-Russian Cooperation Office, Roslivan, and President of the Center for International Economic Cooperation with the Middle East and North Africa, CIEC–MENA, visited Minister of Economy and Trade Dr. Amer Bisat at his office in the ministry. He was accompanied by the office’s Director of Legal and Administrative Affairs, Miray Melki. During the meeting, Nassereldine praised Minister Bisat’s efforts amid the current economic challenges, emphasizing the importance of continuing efforts to stimulate economic activity and create new opportunities for Lebanon. The meeting addressed several economic matters, as well as ways to develop cooperation between Lebanon and Russia and expand trade and investment exchanges between the two countries. These efforts aim to serve their mutual interests and create new opportunities for cooperation. The participants also discussed a proposal to organize the Lebanese-Russian Economic and Investment Forum, “Beirut 2.” The forum would seek to strengthen communication between economic and investment stakeholders in both countries, explore opportunities to develop commercial and investment relations, and open new prospects for the private sector. The discussions also highlighted the importance of activating international economic cooperation to support the Lebanese economy and strengthen its presence in foreign markets. Communications and preparations related to the forum are expected to continue during the coming period.
Mohamed Nassereldine congratulated Russian State Duma member Svetlana Zhurova on receiving the Order of Alexander Nevsky and praised her support for Russian communities abroad and Russian athletes.
Roslivan President Mohamed Nassereldine welcomed Saudi Arabia’s decision to resume imports of Lebanese products, particularly agricultural goods, describing it as an important step toward restoring confidence in Lebanon’s economy.
Mohamed Nassereldine participated in the First International Security Forum in Moscow, which brought together more than 140 foreign delegations to discuss international security, geopolitical developments, and economic cooperation.
