Russian–Lebanese Cooperation Office Marks August 4 Anniversary: The Truth Must Be Revealed with Full Transparency

<p>The Russian–Lebanese Cooperation Office, Roslivan, commemorated the anniversary of the Beirut Port explosion in a statement that read:</p>

<p>“We stand in solemn tribute before the souls of the martyrs who lost their lives in one of the greatest tragedies Lebanon has ever witnessed. We extend our deepest condolences to their families and offer our sincere wishes for the complete recovery of the wounded and injured.”</p>

<p>The Office reaffirmed that achieving full justice, revealing the truth with complete transparency, and ensuring fairness for the victims and their families are national and moral responsibilities that must neither be neglected nor subjected to political considerations or disputes, because the rights of the martyrs and the dignity of the Lebanese people do not disappear with the passage of time.</p>

<p>It also stressed that building a capable and just state begins with respect for the law, the establishment of accountability, the protection of institutions, and the strengthening of confidence in the judiciary. These principles are essential to protecting the country and its citizens and preventing the recurrence of tragedies that have shaken the conscience of humanity.</p>

<p>The Office stated that commemorating this anniversary should remain a unifying national occasion that brings the Lebanese people together around the values of truth, justice, and responsibility, away from divisions. It should also serve as an incentive to work toward a safer and more stable future worthy of the sacrifices of the Lebanese people and the hopes of future generations.</p>

<p>Mohammad Nasser El-Din, President of the Russian–Lebanese Cooperation Office, reaffirmed the Office’s firm position. He stressed that loyalty to the martyrs and the wounded can only be demonstrated by revealing the complete truth, establishing justice, and protecting the state of law and institutions, thereby preserving the dignity of the Lebanese people and laying the foundation for a more stable and just future.</p>

<p>He concluded:</p>
