Mohamed Nassereldine, President of the Center for International Economic Cooperation with the Countries of the Middle East and North Africa, CIEC-MENA, and President of the Lebanese-Russian Cooperation Office “Roslivan,” visited Svetlana Sergeyevna Zhurova, a member of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and First Deputy Chair of the Committee on International Affairs.
During the meeting, Nassereldine congratulated Zhurova on receiving the Order of Alexander Nevsky by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin in recognition of her national and public contributions.
Nassereldine praised Zhurova’s role in supporting Russian communities in the Middle East and other countries outside Russia. He commended her efforts to defend the rights of Russian citizens abroad and to strengthen their connections with their homeland.
He also highlighted her support for Russian athletes and her continued efforts to defend their right to participate in international sporting competitions without political interference.
Nassereldine noted that these efforts are particularly important given the restrictions that continue to affect the participation of some Russian athletes in international events.
